Happy return from a long holiday weekend...wait, what day it is...am I still sleeping??!! :)
This week's 88-5 ALBUM DIVE comes from the greatest reunion tour I didn't even know I wanted and needed - SOUL COUGHING!
I have always loved Soul Coughing and when I heard they were reuniting (out of nowhere, after 25 YEARS!!), I didn't even believe it could be true. And then they played the Bellwether in Sept. 2024 (see photos, photo credit: me!) and all my 90s dreams came true!
I've been to HUNDREDS of concerts, I'm sure. But this is one of the most soul-fulfilling shows I've been to. Everything about the music - the lyrical patterns, that upright bass, the jazzy drum syncopations - it was all literally a dream.
The tour got captured - for our time capsule to show our great-great grandchildren - on the album LIVE 2024 (released April 2025).
