Phoebe Bridgers Lost Weekend4

The wait is finally over! New Phoebe Bridgers - our ALBUM DIVE this week!

PHOEBE BRIDGERS LOST WEEKEND2

It's been six long years since our last Phoebe Bridgers album (Punisher). She had put that album out right after the pandemic hit, so that album really cradled some of us through some life-ing, that's for sure. I can't imagine how she handled all that, having had a huge tour scheduled that had to be scrapped.

I still remember in September 2020 when Phoebe played Red Rocks to NO ONE because of COVID and it was streamed online. I was a little taken aback by all of my feels watching that show. I got super emotional. It had been the first live music I had heard or seen since the pandemic began. Those are the moments when you realize how much live music means to you - and how it soothes your soul.

I've been a fan of Phoebe's since her first album Stranger in the Alps. "Smoke Signals," "Motion Sickness," "Scott Street!" Man, those songs took my breath away, and punched me in the gut.

I also eagerly watched her through her boygenius project with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. Those shows, as well, gave me some real goosebumps with such beautiful harmonies on high. I even got to interview the trio - remember this madness?

Needless to say, I'm pretty psyched for Phoebe's third studio album Lost Weekend that just came out Friday.

There's a really great comprehensive tracklisting of the record and the oh so many people on each track HERE.

Phoebe's been hosting Lost Weekend listening parties at skating rinks and planetariums. But now, finally, we can have it for ourselves. :)

Join me all week as we dive into this album, weekdays just after 12-Noon, all part of our 88-5 ALBUM DIVE on the SoCal Sound and the free SoCal Sound APP.

Until then, my pretties...
